illustrative storytelling

I craft visual interpretations and representations of stories, concepts, and ideas. My style is playful and at the same time rooted in evidence and emotion. I like to create illustrations that feel alive, grounded in place and people.

My approach is always collaborative and relationship-based: I work closely with clients and communities to ensure the visuals truly reflect lived experience and the meaning behind the story.

graphic recording / visual notetaking

Graphic recording (also called visual notetaking) is the practice of translating conversations, ideas, and presentations into visuals in real time — or asynchronously, when more reflection or iteration is needed. Whether created live during meetings, workshops, and conferences, or developed afterward from recordings and notes, these visuals distill complex discussions into clear, engaging storymaps that help people see connections and insights as they emerge.

This work involves deep listening, synthesis, and creative interpretation. My goal is always to transform dialogue into a visual record that captures key themes, relationships, and learnings. These visuals map the interplay between people, places, and ideas, making knowledge both accessible and memorable.

My style here is grounded in clarity yet still deeply human: I use illustration, typography, and colour to make sense of complexity in ways that feel inviting and direct. My approach is collaborative and responsive, and is shaped by the context, goals, and energy of the people involved.

I see each piece as a shared artifact of understanding, one that supports reflection, decision-making, and action long after the event itself.

information design

Information design is about transforming complexity into clarity, and creating visual materials that communicate relationships among data, ideas, and lived experiences in ways that inform, educate, and engage. My work in this area often bridges qualitative and quantitative information, weaving together stories and evidence to help audiences make sense of patterns and meaning.

This might take the form of infographics, data visualizations, conceptual maps, or visual summaries — each designed with both accuracy and empathy in mind. I aim to balance the analytical with the emotional, ensuring that the data not only makes sense, but feels relevant and human.

My style is illustrative and grounded in narrative: I use colour, composition, and texture to invite curiosity and convey connection. My approach is collaborative and relationship-based, built on listening, co-creation, and iteration. I intend for my final designs to reflect the voices, contexts, and goals of the people the designs are meant to connect with.

visual identity design

Visual identities encompass logos, colours, typography, visual systems that embody the culture and values of an organization, project or person.

My style is illustrative-forward: I like to build identities that tell a story and invite connection, rather than simply mark a page. My approach is, as always, anchored in relationships. I begin each project by listening deeply to values, people, and place, then translate those into a visual language that honours purpose, speaks to who the work serves, and helps carry the story forward.
