Youth action on climate change

Youth Action on Climate Change (YACC) is a youth-led community incubator based out of Guelph, with the mission of empowering youth voices and cultivating the next generation of environmental leaders. I worked with YACC to create a unifying visual identity that they could use across all of their platforms and materials. They wanted a visual identity that clearly captured the strength and passion of their mission and messaging, while at the same time being inviting and engaging for youth.

YACC held a series of brainstorming sessions and and interactive workshops with high school youth in Guelph, Ontario, to discuss how youth wanted to take action on climate change in Guelph. Together, they identified two main priority areas: accessible active transit, and sustainable food systems. I created illustrations to go along with each of these priority areas, for YACC to use in their educational and promotional materials for addressing youth-identified and youth-led recommendations for climate action.
