Nectarines + Toasted Almonds

Did you know the pits of nectarines (also peaches, apricots, and plums) all contain a kernel that tastes a lot like an almond? Not a sweet almond, but one with a rounded nutty flavor.

Given how closely nectarines and almonds are related, I thought they’d get along well in this jam. It tastes a bit like Amaretto.
